lyrics
departure to the cosmos.
escaping certain death.
frozen in time surviving barren landscapes.
merciless planet.
we search for the source of these humanoid advancements.
surveying this cold empty rock.
adapted lifeforms discovered.
earthly specimen confirmed.
human ancestry.
rebirthed endlessly.
fighting to evolve.
surviving this black astral plane, hostile, forbidding.
scattered and refracted in the darkness.
adapting to the conditions.
mysterious lifeforms evolved.
intertwining of space and time.
demigods of a darkened realm.
reality negating existence.
architects of the cosmos.
projecting humanoid will and desire
into a dark and lifeless void.
human ancestry.
rebirthed endlessly.
fighting to evolve.
surviving this black astral plane, hostile, forbidding.
scattered and refracted in the darkness.
Hear the deafening static from over the horizon.
patterns of cosmic light emerge.
a portal theorized to allow for teleportation.
to Earth in the distant past.
a morbid dimension of unknown proportions.
in the depths of existence.
inexplainable, unstable pathway.
I approach the ungodly light...
with death almost certain, I await disintegration...
honouring the legacy of our will to survive
never been a big death metal fan but this is actually super accessible for the genre, has fun concepts, and personally i'm always a fan of albums with short tracklists and huge runtimes (for individual songs) Great time, good jumping on point for newbies too. alienasu
i checked out bands coming to my town, and xoth were on the list. at first i thought they were cheesy since i only liked metal to be deep, dark, and atmospheric .
i did enjoy the technical complexity, so i gave them another chance. i equated shredding with jockishness (ugh), but i now see it as a creative choice. i just had to approach it on my own terms, and xoth was the perfect gateway for this. they really opened up a new world for me. quasiotter
Channeling philosophical quandaries into cavernous death metal, the Australian trio turn modern power struggles into an aural advantage. Bandcamp New & Notable Jul 13, 2022
Mind-flaying brutal technical death metal that will pulverize you to smithereens while its complex structures stun your cerebral cortex. Bandcamp New & Notable Sep 19, 2022
Heaviest thing I’ve heard all year along with Altarage. Okay I’ve been listening to this record for the past two weeks and it just gets better and better. Dissonant grooves galore Jacob Ballance
