lyrics
reaching into the darkness.
seeing with mechanical eyes.
machines we built to withstand the vacuum.
feed information into our minds.
expanding our knowledge of the void.
venturing beyond the system that we call home.
frantically harvesting observing an unravelling mystery.
the dark veil is lifted one layer at a time.
until all is revealed to the hive.
guard the gate.
relentless force determined to decimate all who approach.
defenders of the mysteries of the monolith.
no life shall pass through undetected.
keepers of the pathway.
defenders of the gateway.
endless.
darkness.
savage reality.
storm the gate.
determined force attempting to infiltrate.
fighting for their lives
for a chance to return home
to what they once knew.
sentient lifeforms.
explore a cold malicious domain.
celestial anomaly.
matter experimenting with matter.
dispersing through the fog of space.
the overwhelming magnitude of this mystery...
never been a big death metal fan but this is actually super accessible for the genre, has fun concepts, and personally i'm always a fan of albums with short tracklists and huge runtimes (for individual songs) Great time, good jumping on point for newbies too. alienasu
i checked out bands coming to my town, and xoth were on the list. at first i thought they were cheesy since i only liked metal to be deep, dark, and atmospheric .
i did enjoy the technical complexity, so i gave them another chance. i equated shredding with jockishness (ugh), but i now see it as a creative choice. i just had to approach it on my own terms, and xoth was the perfect gateway for this. they really opened up a new world for me. quasiotter
Channeling philosophical quandaries into cavernous death metal, the Australian trio turn modern power struggles into an aural advantage. Bandcamp New & Notable Jul 13, 2022
Mind-flaying brutal technical death metal that will pulverize you to smithereens while its complex structures stun your cerebral cortex. Bandcamp New & Notable Sep 19, 2022
Heaviest thing I’ve heard all year along with Altarage. Okay I’ve been listening to this record for the past two weeks and it just gets better and better. Dissonant grooves galore Jacob Ballance
